How did the smartphone get so popular?

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but it feels like smartphones appeared out of no where! One day they were just here and everyone became obsessed with them.   Samsung was the second company to enter the smartphone battle when they produced their own unique version of the phone. They tried to make their phone more “user friendly” and effective for the user. When Apple found this out they decided they had to make their iPhones better. Apple continues to produce new models of the phone every couple of years to correct bugs, make the phone sleeker looking and more user friendly. This helps them continue to stay marketable.   After this many other companies such as Motorola decided to join and start marketing smartphones. The market is still growing day by day due to the fact that different companies are producing updated features for their different brands of smartphones. The invention of the smartphone has been one of the most successful developments ever. Since the smartphone was such an effective creation it has caused many marketers to find the need to produce them. The biggest well-known name on the market for iPhones is Apple. After Apple, Samsung decided that they wanted to be apart of the smartphone phenomenon if they wanted to become successful in the market.
